Gibraltarian journalist and broadcaster Alice Mascarenhas MBE presents 'Palabras al Viento', a heartfelt tribute to her late father Manolo Mascarenhas, whose evocative Radio Gibraltar broadcasts and newspaper columns (1946–1972) became a lifeline for many Gibraltarians during the tense closed-frontier years. Rooted deeply in Gibraltarian identity, the book captures the voice that carried news, culture, and comfort across the Rock when connections with the outside world were fragile.

At this special event, Alice will discuss the book with a distinguished panel featuring former Chief Minister Adolfo Canepa, Deputy Chief Minister and historian Dr. Joseph Garcia, and former GBC producer Ralph Lima.

Widely anticipated by locals who remember or have heard stories of Manolo’s broadcasts, the evening promises to be a celebration of shared memory, resilience, and the enduring power of community storytelling.
