How does seating work?Seating is unallocated and on a first-come, first-served basis. Doors open 15 minutes before each event.

Are there events for children and families?Yes! There will be certain family-friendly talks available. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult. We also offer a Schools’ Programme which is organsied via local schools.

How accessible is the festival?Most venues are wheelchair accessible, and support is available. Please contact us if you have specific needs.

Can I bring my dog?Only assistance dogs are permitted at festival venues.

What public safety measures are in place?Bag checks will be conducted at venue entrances. Please report any suspicious activity immediately.

What types of events are there apart from talks?Alongside author talks and panel discussions, the festival also features creative workshops, interactive sessions, family-friendly events, storyteling, book signings, and special cultural activities around Gibraltar. There’s something for every kind of festival-goer to enjoy!

How can I buy tickets for the festival?Tickets will be available online via www.buytickets.gi and at the Box Office at John Mackintosh Hall.

How are tickets priced?Prices vary per event. Some sessions are free, and others are individually priced to keep the festival accessible.

What is the booking fee?A small fee applies to online bookings. You can avoid this by purchasing tickets directly from the Festival Box Office.

What happens if I’m late to an event?Late entry may be restricted to minimise disruption. Stewards will assist where possible.

How do I get to the festival?Gibraltar is easily accessible by air from the UK and by road from Spain or ferry from Morocco. All venues are centrally located and walkable.

Are there any restrictions inside venues?No photography, recording, or mobile phone use during events. No smoking or vaping on site. Visitors may be filmed or photographed for future festival promotion.
