Always one of the festival’s most popular sessions, the Lightning Talks return in 2025 with a vibrant mix of voices from Gibraltar’s artistic and literary community.
Artist Shane Dalmedo shares the inspiration for her children’s book on painter Gustavo Bacarisas.
The voices of young poets from St Joseph’s Lower Primary School are reflected in a poetry project inspired by UK Children’s Laureate Joseph Coelho, proving that creativity begins at any age. Elaine Benzecry and Monica Piri will be presenting the talk.
Christina Galliano offers a heartfelt tribute to her late mother’s memoir, A Rocky Passage to Exile, a moving recollection of childhood evacuation during WWII.
Joe Adambery talks about his book where he explores rhythms through poetry as a musician.
Short, sharp, and bursting with ideas, this event showcases the diversity and vitality of Gibraltarian voices.
