This special panel brings together four distinct poetic voices to reflect on Gibraltar’s poetry and its dialogue with the wider world.
Together, they will explore the role of poetry in navigating identity, place, and the urgent themes of our time.
Tassos Pagiaslis, poet, organiser of the Patras World Poetry Festival, and lecturer at the University of Nottingham, offers an international perspective rooted in cultural exchange. Giordano Durante, Gibraltarian poet and co-founder of Patuka Press, shares insights from his three acclaimed collections and his commitment to amplifying local voices. Tessa Rosado Standen, whose work weaves together the philosophical and the practical, reflects on how motherhood, law and poetry intersect in her creative practice. Finally, Trino Cruz, poet, translator and cultural collaborator, contributes a Mediterranean lens shaped by decades of cross-border literary projects.
Featuring recitals from some of Gibraltar’s best poets, Jackie Anderson, Jonathan Teuma and Levi Attias.
