Grant Harrold
Grant Harrold The Royal Butler is a British former royal butler and the UK’s foremost etiquette expert. During his career in the Royal Household, he served Their Majesties King Charles III and Queen Camilla, as well as the Prince and Princess of Wales and Prince Harry, primarily at Highgrove House in the Cotswolds. He also occasionally served the late Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip .
Prior to his royal service (2004–2011), Grant worked as a butler for the Duke and Duchess of Bedford at Woburn Abbey, where he featured in the BBC² series Country House. This early experience paved the way for his transition into public-facing roles .
Following his departure from royal service, Grant launched Nicholas Veitch Limited and co-founded The Royal School of Butlers and the Royal School of Etiquette in partnership with Blenheim Palace. In 2021 he launched Royality LTD. A media company that manages The Royal Butler and The Royal Gardener.
He has since become a Royal commentator, public speaker, broadcaster, and international etiquette trainer, guiding both private clients and household staff around the globe.
Popularly known as “Britain’s Etiquette Expert” or “One of Europe’s Top Etiquette Gurus,” Grant has trained celebrities, advised VIPs and royals, and hosted etiquette-themed events ranging from afternoon tea workshops to dinner party protocols . His media portfolio includes television appearances such as tea etiquette for Kelly Clarkson, training the Dolan Twins for the MTV Music Awards, and coaching Miss Holland on BBC3, earning him a large social media following across TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, X of over.1 million followers where he is known as The Royal Butler, the defender of etiquette.
In 2025 his book "The Royal Butler" was published. An unforgettable memoir and portrait of a royal household - this revelatory new biography tells the full story of how a boy who grew up obsessed with the royals ended up at the heart of their household.
Grant also serves as an Ambassador for the British Dyslexia Association.
